IBPS reduces PO eligibility,graduates having less than 60 % can apply

 
In a corrigendum released in July 22,2013 on the IBPS website ibps.in, the IBPS Director has stated partial modifications in IBPS PO phase 3 notification released on 10th July 2013 pertaining to reduction eligibility criteria for common written examination. It seems that the IBPS has ceded to all the demands made by the student fraternity viz. reduction in graduation percentage from 60% to any degree, increase in maximum age from 28 to 30 years and doing away with mandatory computer knowledge. In this way, the eligibility condition for a PO stands in conformity with that of Civil Services (IAS) exam. The corrigendum reads as follows - 

CORRIGENDUM

(In partial modification of our notification dated 10/07/2013) 
The eligibility criteria for the recruitment of POs/MTs under CWE-PO/MT-III have been 
revised as under: 

1. Educational Qualification : 
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University or any 
equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government 

2. Age : 
Minimum - 20 years Maximum – 30 years 
 (i.e. candidate must have been not born earlier than 02.07.1983 and not later than 
01.07.1993) 
 (Relaxation in upper age limit as per Govt. Guidelines for Reserved Categories will 
 apply). 

3. Computer Literacy : Not Mandatory
